Photocopy of a 5-volume unpublished manuscript documenting the history of unions in the meat packing industry, particularly the United Packinghouse Workers of America. Kampfert was a UPWA leader in the Chicago area. This study emphasizes organizing efforts in Chicago, St. Paul, and Cedar Rapids between 1910 and 1940.
